I had a wonderful stay at this charming 17th Century cottage. The attention to detail was exceptional, with the house being very clean and tidy. The kitchen was well-equipped and the provisions, including milk, beer, and brewing supplies, were a thoughtful touch. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, and the Aga oven not only made cooking a pleasure but kept the entire house warm. The location in the pretty village of Barley was perfect, with two pubs within walking distance and plenty of beautiful walks in the area. The host was responsive and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing getaway.
The parking situation was a bit challenging, with limited roadside parking available. I had a moment of uncertainty when I realized that all the spaces in the village were taken and I might have to park further away.

The 17th Century cottage was a hidden gem for a much-needed break. The picturesque surroundings and charming courtyard added to the delightful atmosphere. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated, providing maximum comfort and a warm ambiance. The host's attention to detail, especially with the antique furnishings, made us feel welcomed and at ease during our stay. Plus, having two en-suites and a downstairs loo was a pleasant surprise. It was the perfect location for relaxation and scenic walks.
The only minor inconvenience was the limited parking, particularly on weekends. However, we managed to find alternative parking at the Pendle inn up the road and supported them by spending money there.
